The Harding Drama Club runs throughout the school year. The first auditions are usually in September (check the calendar!), and the performance is anytime between late October or early December. The second auditions are usually right before Christmas with the performance in late February or early March. The last several of years, right after the second production, the Drama club begins rehearsing for a Cabaret. This is in April or May.
In the 2008-2009 school year, the Harding Drama Club ended up doing FOUR productions. The Fall production was BOX OFFICE POISON, followed closely by our WINTERFEST Celebration. In February we staged YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN. The season wrapped up with the annual Harding Cabaret back in the auditorium for one last production on that stage.
In the 2009-2010 school year, the Harding Drama Club will be doing two shows and possibly a Cabaret. At this time the directors are still deciding on exactly which scripts to produce. The current plan is for a mystery/comedy in the fall and a musical in the winter. Additional plans are in the works to revamp our "Winterfest" dinner/theatre production and, of course, a "wrap up" production like the Harding Cabaret.
