Why IB?
Do you want to get a head start on
college?
Most colleges and universities will evaluate your IB exam scores
and award course credit or advanced placement for scores that fall within
their specified criteria.
Do you want scholarships?
Many colleges and universities offer special scholarships for students
with an IB Diploma. For example, Winthrop University (Rock Hill, SC) offers
a full tuition award to students who have
received an IB Diploma and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 with an ACT score of
26. Harvard awards sophomore standing to students with an IB Diploma and an
ACT score of 27.
Are you concerned about your class rank?
All IB courses are weighted on a 5.0 scale. These weighted grades are
factored into the GPA and will affect class rankings.
Do you sometimes wish teachers got graded too?
All IB instructors have received special IB Teacher Training and are
evaluated each year by the IBO. They receive detailed feedback on how they
are doing and how to improve their courses.
Are you ready for a challenge?
If you are, the International Baccalaureate Program is perfect for you.

Baccalaureate Program contact Ms.
